The palliative care service has been on its wheels in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute (MGMCRI) since 2016.
The palliative nurses have rendered their services to several patients of all ages and varying clinical diagnosis. The mentioned group of nurses’ is one of the best in MGMCRI to bring smiles on the faces of palliative patients and their families. The team provides holistic care and includes music therapy as part of the care rendered in the department.
The nursing team is ably lead by Prof. Kripa Angeline A, who provides constant support and guidance to the palliative care nurses towards not only improving the quality of nursing, but to also promote a team spirit within the department.
The positive and outstanding feedback received from their patients’ is strong evidence of the quality of care that they provide.
This group of nurses at MGMCRI, need to be celebrated because they not only share the pain of their suffering patients’, but also strive to provide the best quality of care that they are capable of, for their patients.
